Education

Adult classes
  • Adult Irish Ceili Dance classes are taught from 7:00 – 8:30 pm on Tuesday evenings at the KC Ballet Studio (Todd Bolender Center for Dance and Creativity)

  • Students will learn basic reel and jig steps, which will then be put together in combination for traditional Ceili dances
  • It is an 8 week session and the cost is $23.00.  (Class fees are waived for UMKC students.)  Minimum age 15  http://www.umkc.edu/commu 
Children's classes
  • Children’s Irish Ceili class for those 6 – 14 years of age.
  • They’re taught the same reel and jig steps and several of our easier dances and solos.  We keep it light-hearted and fun so they enjoy themselves.
  • Classes are on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 – 7:30 pm, at St Mark’s United Methodist Church,

Performances

  • Weddings : Need or would like Irish Dancers at your wedding reception?
  • St Patricks Day Celebrations: Want to add some Irish fun to your festivities?
  • Retirement Community: "Add a little jig to your step."  We'll do a show that will have everyone's feet tapping!
  • Church Celebrations:  Learn about Irish dance history and maybe a dance or two.
  • Birthday/Private Parties: Fun entertainment and you learn a dance too!
  • Dance Teams:  Want your dancers to learn a new step or style?
  • Traditional Attire: Want something different? We can also do a performance in traditional Irish costume (Renaissance Period)
  • Teaching: After a Performance, we offer the option of your guest learning an Irish dance and then performing it in front of the crowd. Always a crowd pleaser!

What Makes Us Different

We are a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the teaching of Celtic Dancing.  We perform all over the Greater Kansas City area for schools, retirement communities, hospitals and at other charitable organizations. For several years we have also performed at the Kansas City Renaissance Festival in Bonner Springs KS and the KC Scottish Highland Games.
 
We dance traditional Irish and Scottish dances.
